“...the resolution submitted by Rabbi Stephen Leon establishes that the holiday of Tisha B‟av will be recognized by all of the congregations who are members of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism as a day to welcome the B‟nei Anousim who are returning to Judaism, and to take specific notice of the Spanish Inquisition and the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492.”
